Know Before You Go

The Aspen/Snowmass area offers a blend of cultural, athletic and recreational advantages like no other mountain resort. Where else can you attend a concert, an exhibit, the theatre, the ballet, and a lecture by one of the foremost political leaders in the world - all in a single day? The Aspen/Snowmass community has been home to internationally known organizations such as the Aspen Music Festival and School for more than 50 years, and is home to exceptional cuisine spanning Asian, Italian, Mexican and even Thai influences. In the summer, one can hike an infinite number of wilderness trails; bike some of the best single-track sections in the Rockies; and raft, kayak or fish the many creeks and rivers threading through the Roaring Fork Valley. And of course, skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling and even dogsledding are but a few of the activities offered in the winter.
